Getting Creative

Ryan wanted to play with his playdoh this morning. So, we got out his elmo mat and broke out the playdoh.
He was so excited to open each container, he couldn't stop smiling

Once he got it out though, he wasn't quite sure what to make of it

Then he decided to give it a fair chance

And after much coaching :) he finally pointed to it and said "orange"! Yay Ryan!

The playdoh thing only lasted about 10 mins and then he was bored. So we got out his fingerpaints. He started off by painting his Elmo mat...

But then we got back on track


And....Voila! His masterpiece....

When Daddy's in Charge....

This is what happened when daddy was in charge of Ryan this morning...

Now I have to hide the crayons from both of them :)

First Car

Well, its official, Ryan is spoiled rotten by his grandpa. Ryan came home to find a surprise from his Papa in the garage yesterday. He was so excited to take it out for a test spin.

He started off slow & steady and was very serious

But once he figured out that it goes FAST...he started really having fun

Daddy was trying to keep up with him...but Ryan left daddy in his dust

Thank you Papa!

Cousins

Ryan went over to play with his best bud today. They had fun playing with trucks and legos. These are the two pictures I got before the batteries in my camera died...Perhaps that'll teach me to check the batteries more often :)

Playdate at Bennett's House

Ryan played at Bennett's house today. He had a blast!

The first order of business was lunch, they had pasta...mmmmm messy

They kicked off the playdate by dancing in their diapers together :) They danced to "maniac", which just happens to be Ryans favorite song.

Then they had some quiet time together on the couch



Then it was on to playtime in the igloo tent

There was a tiny argument about the milk cup...

But then it was back to being friends..

And of course, Ryan had to spend some quality time with Mr. Alexander

He decided Alexander needed a hug. He's practicing so someday he'll be a great big brother :)

Playing in the Backyard

Ryan wanted to play outside today even though its so hot! There was a big bug on the bridge and Ryan was not happy about it...he just could not figure out why that thing was on HIS bridge...

He wanted to dig for some buried treasure...

Then it was time for some sandbox fun

And this is his "mommy, I'm done playing now get this sand off of me" face :)

Cooling Off

This is a pretty boring post because we had a pretty boring day. We decided to take it easy & relax today. It is HOT! so Ryan cooled off in his pool.
