Morning with Daddy

Daddy took a day off to spend with Ryan today! Ryan was very excited when he woke up and found that daddy was home! They headed out early this morning and went to the library and Ryan's favorite park.
Ryan has been very consistent for a long time with his love of Elmo & Bob the Builder. But has recently added trains (tee-tees) to his list of all time favorite things. So, daddy took him to go see the tee-tees and was nice enough to take some pictures. Of course, he only took 3 :)






After such a great morning with daddy, Ryan was in a great mood for lunch and was being a little chatterbox so I tried to get a little video per the request of his "distant" family.

Invitations

I don't know why I'm so excited about this, but I wanted to share :)
I searched & searched for a Bob the Builder invitation for Ryan's birthday but couldn't find one that I liked. So I emailed a woman on ebay and told her what I was looking for and how I wanted it to look. Well, she made it for us and then liked it so much she asked if she could post it on her website. So, Ryan's cute little mug is on www.invitations2impress.com under the kids themed birthday section. Don't worry, they changed his name & party info!

Playdate

Ryan went to play with his friends today. He had a great time, as usual. He took a particular interest in Miss Sophia today. They were very affectionate. But don't worry, Ryan is a gentleman and was back by Bennetts side by the end of the afternoon. I don't have a picture, but I actually found Ryan and Bennett giggling in the bathroom with the door closed and lights off. When I opened the door they laughed hysterically and bolted out the door.
My camera is on the verge of self destruction so these pictures aren't the greatest. If anyone wants to help me convince Dave that we need a new one that'd be very helpful ;)


Ryan's shoe came off but Sophia brought it to him and helped him put it back on :)

Father/Son Day

Ryan & daddy went with Gavin & Uncle Rick for a "boys only" morning at the park. Daddy actually got Ryan up, gave him breakfast, got him dressed and packed his diaper bag-all while I was sleeping! Yay for Daddy & Ryan!




I'm told he was looking for squirrels :)

Pumpkin Festival

Today we went to the Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain. It was quite the drive, but worth it!



Ryan & Gavin spent quite a while picking their perfect pumpkins

Ryan thought it would be funny to get through all the pumpkins by climbing over them. There were several "Help me, mommy" moments.

Then it was on to the pumpkin painting tent. Ryan was very careful to get his just right, all it took was concentration & a steady hand



We went a bit early to the lasershow to get a good seat, which meant we had to entertain the boys. So they each got these glowy sword things. All we asked was that they didn't poke any eyes out...but there were several close calls!

Overall we had a great day! Ryan's favorites were the pumpkin patch & the fireworks during the laser show, when the show was over he said "No! More!"

Playland

Ryan got to go play with his friend Avery today. The boys thought opening the door and running for it was more fun than climbing, so I didn't get very many pictures. But, Ryan spent the whole car ride home yelling "Vaby"? (Avery), so its safe to say he had fun!

"My Baby"

I meant to post these earlier...better late than never, right?

So, now that Ryan has been around lots of babies, I think he's ready for one of his own. He carried this baby around saying "my baby, my baby".

He held her head, and gently fed her a bottle

Put her in the swing for a nap

Grabbed her up to protect her from the girls

And swaddled her...(yes, swaddled her!) I have no idea where he learned how to take care of a baby, but it was SO sweet to watch! :)
