1 month old!

I can hardly believe that Lucas is already 1 month old! The last month has gone by so quickly and we're enjoying getting to know him. The bond that he & Ryan are forming already is absolutely amazing to watch and be a part of.
It's funny, when Ryan was born I was an absolute maniac! There were many frantic 2am calls to the pediatrician, webmd searches, sterilization overload and the thought of leaving my baby boy horrified me. Yeah, I got over that quickly! I actually let Lucas stay with his first babysitter today (Papa)...I didn't let anyone watch Ryan until he was well over a year old. My how things have changed!

Happy 1 month birthday Monkey, we love you!!

Lunch & a farewell dinner

We have just been going non-stop for the past couple of weeks, it has been crazy, yet lots of fun! Ryan only had 2 more days to spend some quality time with Kate, his new crush! On Tuesday we went to Burger King with Kate, Gabe, Bennett & Alexander to play on the castle. All of the kids had a blast together as usual.

Ryan the Ladies Man...Bennett & Kate were fighting over who got to hug him first!
It was HOT out there, so after the castle we headed in for a strawberry sundae-yum!
Guess what Lucas was doing the whole time?
Last night, we had to say goodbye to Jon, Deanna, Kate & Gabe who are headed back home after a week here in Atlanta. There is no better kid-friendly place than Joe's Crab Shack. The kids danced, ran around like maniacs and had some dinner. It doesn't get much better than that.

After dinner they all headed out to the playground to play together one last time. Ryan's going to miss you terribly Kate! Hopefully we'll see you in just a couple of weeks!

Lucas was awake the whole time, but isn't quite ready for the slide. He hung out with mommy & watched the big kids play

Jumping with friends

Ryan is a lucky lucky boy! He got to go jumping AGAIN today with his friends Kate & Sophie. Kate is leaving in a few days so he's trying to squeeze in all the quality time with her that he can!
The kids had a blast together. Ryan fell, but his "lady friends" came running to his rescue...

And of course, he had to take a time out to check on Gabe

After Sophie headed home for lunch, Deanna bought Kate & Ryan balloons. They thought it was hysterical to blow them up a little bit and then let the air out in their faces-it doesn't take much! :)

I know this picture is awful, but I thought it was cute anyway

Lucas slept through all of the jumping fun, but when we got home he was up and ready to play in the playroom with daddy & Ryan. He just loves Ryan's beanbag chairs so we'll be adding some to his Christmas wish list. We cannot believe that he will be 4 weeks old tomorrow!!

Busy busy busy!

We have had a very busy weekend! Pictures are scarce these days, sorry!
Friday we were excited to go to a playdate! It's been a while since we'd seen some of our friends so it was a nice little treat. A special thanks to Nadine, Cooper & Fletcher for hosting & letting us destroy their house! I didn't even think to take any pictures, but saw these pictures on other blogs & had to steal them (thanks Deanna & Jess!)

Ryan went in for a kiss while he & Kate were feeding the fish in the pond together. He just adores her.

And it may be because he's mine, but I thought Lucas looked particularly cute in this picture. Of course, he slept through most of the playdate, but still enjoyed himself!

After the playdate, we headed home to meet Ryan & Lucas' Grandma & Grandpa from Florida. And as a special treat, their Uncle Steve & Aunt Charisse flew down from Boston! They all came to Georgia to meet Lucas & spoil Ryan rotten. Of course, the boys loved every minute of it.

On Saturday, we woke up early so Ryan could go to his first day of Soccertots! He was super excited and is looking forward to next Saturday already.
We left Soccertots and headed straight to Sophie & Ava's princess birthday party! Ryan was a bit tired when we got there so he was grumpy, but he enjoyed seeing his friends.

Happy Birthday Sophie & Ava!

Ryan spent 90% of the party hiding from the princesses. He loves dinosaurs & monsters, but Cinderella & Snow White scare him...go figure!

Landon was also a bit wary of the princesses, but finally gave in and let loose! :)

And finally, today we went to Atlanta to check out Atlantic Station & Lenox mall with Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Steve & Aunt Charisse. And what better place to take some family photos than California Pizza Kitchen? :)

3 Generations of "Soli" men
(those of you that know our last name know its a bit of a mouthful, Ryan has decided to simplify it and call himself Ryan Soli)

Reunion

We went to Jump 4 Joey again on Thursday. This visit was extra special because we got to meet up with Ryan's friends Kate & Gabe. It had been a while since we'd seen them and we'd been talking about their upcoming visit to Atlanta for weeks, so Ryan was very excited to see them. And as an added bonus, he got to play with Bennett & Alexander too!
Apparently absence really does make the heart grow fonder because Ryan just could not get enough of Kate! He usually gets very upset if his friends try to hug or kiss him, but he was loving the attention he was getting from Kate. We'll be seeing her a couple more times before they go, and then I guess Ryan will have to face the harsh reality of a long distance romance :)
And a special thank you to Miss Kate for taking such good care of Lucas! We'll be calling you when we need a sitter.

2 Week Checkup

Lucas had his 2 week checkup today. Other than the hint of jaundice left, he got a clean bill of health. He's almost back up to his birth weight at 8 lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long. As you can see, he was not at all pleased about the whole ordeal.

A new place to jump

I've been super nervous to leave the house with both boys by myself, but I've also been dying to get out. So, we asked Sherry, Sophie & Ava to go jumping with us on Friday at a new jump place
(which is now one of our new favorites!).
It took me about 2 hours to get the 3 of us ready and we were late meeting our
friends, but we made it in one piece.
Ryan was so excited to see Sophie & get some energy out after being cooped up in the house for so long. And it actually ended up being...not so bad. Luckily, Luke slept most of the time- until he was ready to eat. And Ryan was off doing his own thing with Sophie. It was quite a relief and put my nerves at ease. I think we might actually try to venture out some more this week!
Turns out that I may be able to handle this after all! :)

He's a maniac, maniac...

So, I knew Ryan was going to be a great big brother, but even I have been amazed by just how great he's been. Wherever Lucas is, that's where Ryan wants to be. This morning he spent a half hour showing his little brother how to put together his favorite puzzle and even made me put a piece in Lucas' hand so that he could "learn too". Here's some photos of their quality time together.

For as long as I can remember (can't be more than 2 1/2 yrs, right?), Ryan has been obsessed with the song "Maniac". I have it on my ipod and whenever it comes on he breaks into dance but will never let me record him...until now. Here's my little maniac- with some added bonus moves (cross between the cabbage patch & the Pee-Wee Herman dance??) I think he gets his moves from daddy!
