Well, we've survived the weekend! We're tired, very tired, but we're enjoying every second with our boys.
Ryan has been absolutely amazing with Lucas. He wants to hold him constantly, feed him, change his diapers and he has to kiss his little brother at least once an hour. He's basically his caretaker at this point, they pretty much just need me as the food source.
So, everyone's asking to see pictures of Lucas' crazy dark hair-which is exactly what Ryan was born with. We dug out Ryan's scrapbook last night and their hospital photos look identical.
Dave spent this afternoon putting together Ryan's "big brother" gift from Lucas. Ryan was super excited, but not as excited as daddy! They jumped and jumped until they couldn't jump anymore.

Lucas: Day 2
Last night Lucas woke up just one time, ate and went straight back to sleep. We couldn't have asked for a smoother night. So far, he's very laid back & quiet just like his big brother. And he loves to be held & snuggled.
Ryan came to spend the whole day with us at the hospital today so that he would feel included and it worked wonders. Yesterday he wanted nothing to do with his brother, but today was a complete success. He wanted to hold Lucas, kiss him, hold his hand and even brought him toys & a binky if he cried. He now refers to him as "my baby Lucas" and is a VERY proud big brother. He went home with Grammy & Papa for the night but he is dying to come back again tomorrow.

He's Here!
We actually forgot the cord for our primary camera which has most of the pictures on it. But, here is a couple of photos until we get home to post some more.

Happy 4th!
On Friday, Dave woke up and told Ryan and I that he had a great idea and we were heading out for the day. He even packed us a picnic lunch while we got ready. And off we headed to the Pine Mountain Animal Safari Park. We've been to the safari parks in New Jersey & Florida, and both had better animals...however, this park actually allowed us to reach out and feed the animals (the other parks don't even allow you to open the windows). As you can imagine, Ryan loved every second of it!
This giant guy was heading right for Daves window, so I handed him the camera and told him to take a picture...and Dave decided to tempt him to come closer with some chips left over from lunch. Here's the photo result
And on Saturday we went to the Paulding County fireworks, which was a bit of a disaster. Ryan didn't take his nap so he fell asleep on the way to the fireworks. We woke him up once they started and was very excited. He kept calling out the colors in the sky....for about 5 minutes. Then he just kept saying "home, Ryan's house". So, we headed home before the show was even completed. At least we can say we saw some fireworks though.
Overall, it was just nice to have Dave home for another 3 days and spend some quality time with Ryan, since he's what it's all about anyway.
