Picnic

We had a picnic dinner at the park tonight. Ryan had fun watching the squirrels and getting applesauce everywhere! I took lots and lots of pictures, but the sun was so bright that not a lot of them came out.

Festival

We went to check out another Paulding County Festival today. Ryan had an ok time running around, getting candy & collecting balloons...but then we found the moonwalks and it was jump jump time!

Okay...it was extremely difficult getting a video of Ryan jumping because kids were climbing in and out...but daddy managed to get 2 short ones of Ryan having a blast. Don't worry, he won't be quitting his day job :)

Then it was off to lunch where Gavin & Ryan found some motorcycles to have a race on.

Ryan got some racing tips from Grammy

Talking Up A Storm! :)

We went jumping today but I forgot to bring the camera :(
So, I don't have any pictures to post today, instead I thought I'd post a "talking" update. As I'm sure you all know, Ryan was "late" with his speech and I had a near heart attack when his doctor referred him to a speech therapist. But, luckily it was all for nothing! Ryan is making progress by leaps & bounds with talking and I thought I'd share his progress with everyone.
Of course his favorite word of all time is Bob or Bobby, then mommy (yay!), MoMo (Elmo), daddy and of course NO, ME & MINE. When its time to eat he says cheese or eat now! :) And just this week alone he's picked up ep me (help me), wawa (water), wow, oh shoot (bad mommy, but better than the alternative!), nanee (auntie), Mimi (Grammy), Pa (Papa), Vaby (Avery), choo choo, Benny (Bennett) & Kate. And his new thing is that every single time we pass a truck, a tractor or any type of construction vehicle he yells Mommy, Bobby!
This morning we went jumping with one of Ryans friends and when we were leaving Ryan said No, jup, jup (jump jump) (that one made me cry, I was so happy)! So, we stopped at the library on the way home to pick up some books to read on the potty, and he said book!
I know, I'm a little too excited about this talking business, its just that we were SO nervous and now we have nothing to worry about! Now we're just enjoying watching him grow, learn & TALK!! :)

North Georgia State Fair

We went to the North Georgia State Fair today with Grammy, Uncle Rick, Auntie & Gavin. Ryan and Gavin had a blast riding all of the rides together.

Ry & Gav rockin' the panda ride :)

Desperately trying to reach the turtle...

Feeding the camel with daddy....watch out, they spit!

Feeding the goats with Uncle Rick

Ok, normally Ryan would never go on these rides without bailing in the first 10 seconds...but, since he had his best bud there by his side he went on ride after ride and had a great time

Ryan's new puppy...thanks Grammy for winning the water race game! :)

Now, simply for (my) amusement...for your viewing pleasure-Dave on his first mechanical bull ride-ENJOY! :)

And finally...I was messing around on sproutonline.com and found a Bob the Builder frame for Ryans picture and here are the results

Jumping!

Ryan and I have been scouting out birthday locations and decided to go check out a jumping place today. When we got there Ryan was crying and wanted nothing more than to leave. I tried everything but he wanted nothing to do with it. Then...a little boy who was 18 months old came with his nanny and Ryan just thought that he was the funniest little person he'd ever met! Everything his new little friend did, Ryan wanted to try. And after about 20 minutes of following the little guy around Ryan finally decided he loved the bouncers! We went down the slide about 20 times and Ryan couldn't stop cracking up :) Thank goodness for that little boy or we'd have bailed on the idea!

Tough Guy

We went to the mall today and Ryan had to stop in the play area where he had his first bully experience. UGH! There was a boy about 3ish who kept chasing Ryan and pushing him and then was pulling on his legs while Ryan was trying to climb and then even tried to trip him!...(All while his moronic mother was in the corner reading a book! Never looked up to check on her kid once!) Well I kept getting up and yelling at the kid and bringing Ryan to another area to play. Then Ryan was on the bridge and the evil little kid got up there with him...I guess Ryan had enough because he pushed him so hard that the kid fell all the way down the bridge...and then left Ryan alone for the rest of the time we were there.
He may not even be 2 yet, but already a bad ass, taking on an older bully :) Guess I don't have to worry about him as much as I do! lol

Having fun sliding

I took this picture of Ryan right before the little brat behind him pushed him off!

Ok, on to the Bob costume. I got this for Ryan to wear when he plays with his tools. He likes it, but he is refusing to look at the camera these days. Think I'm taking too many photos? :)

Hair Mishap

So, Ryan and I had a pretty busy week and I wanted to get his hair cut before the weekend. I figured instead of driving all the way to the kids salon I would just take him to any old place. Yeah, well, when we got home and I washed his hair and combed it he looked like he had cut his hair himself! A little like Jim Carey in Dumb & Dumber- only worse. Then I had no choice but to take him to Pigtails & Crewcuts and pray that they could fix it! Needless to say, Ryan was NOT happy about having his hair cut 2 days in a row. The first picture is him glaring because he's mad that I would do this to him again...and the second 2 pictures are him giving us the cold shoulder and focusing on Elmo.
Oh, and yes, now his hair is back to normal! Lesson learned :)

More Mo Mo!!

Today Ryan got to go see his good friend Mo Mo (Elmo). He went with his friend Bennett to see Sesame Street Live! I'll admit, I was a bit nervous and thought it would be a disaster but he actually loved it. He sat through the entire 90 minute show and enjoyed it. After the show was over and well into lunch he kept saying "more mo mo, more mo mo".

Ryans first cotton candy experience And then his first cotton candy face :) It was a day of firsts...first Sesame Street Live show, first cotton candy, and his very first sno cone (which he LOVED) The show was great! All the singing & dancing really kept the little guys attention Ry's favorite part...Elmo's World! This is Ryan focusing really hard on the show...while playing with his new Elmo spinner Bennett & Ryan dancing along Giving Elmo some lovin' After lunch we headed outside where Bennett & Ryan found some pigeons. They thought they were very very funny Ryan stalking his prey

It was loud & windy and then I ran out of memory space...but a short video of Ryan & Bennett chasing the birds

A new chair...and a tattoo

We went to the Paulding County Festival this morning with Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Rick, Auntie & Gavin. Ryan had lots of fun. He got his first tattoo and a new Bob Bob chair! Yup, I forgot to take pictures again, but took some when we got home.
