Happy Birthday Gavin! and World of Coke!

On Saturday we went to Gavin's 3rd Birthday party!! Ryan was excited because it was a Bob the Builder party!

First, everyone got to paint their own truck

And after some pizza and playing it was time for presents! Gavin was nice enough to help Ryan with his presents not so long ago...so Ryan thought it was only right that he get to help Gavin open his presents!

Gavin making his big birthday wish

And of course....Ryans favorite part of any party-

Happy Birthday Gavin! Auntie, Uncle Dave and Ryan love you very very much!

On Sunday we went to check out the new World of Coca-Cola. Ryan and I were pretty bored, but daddy had a good time so I guess it was good :)
Ryan wrote a letter to Santa and then tried to get some soda to come out of the machine

He only started having fun when it was time to drink some "juice". He tried some lemonade and some fruit punch, but his favorite was Strawberry Fanta...he had 3 glasses of it, and he enjoyed every last sip!

The last thing we did was check out the 4D movie-which Ryan was VERY excited about...until the chairs started moving and wind and water came at his face. Then he wanted out! And he refused to wear his glasses so he didn't even get to enjoy the whole experience :)

We're Back!

First of all, my apologies for the short hiatus-I've been feeling a bit under the weather. But, we're back!
So, on Friday we went to check out a drive-thru light display at Petit Creek Farms in Cartersville. It was a long drive and Ryan was restless so we ended up just driving through, checking out the lights and heading home. Ryan really enjoyed the lights though.

Alright, let me start this one off by saying that Jaclyn has been telling me about the "Christmas House of Lights" for weeks now. She insisted that it was going to be amazing and we just HAD to take the boys. So, we finally gave in on Saturday night. We headed out to the Christmas House of Lights...which is supposed to be a walk through Christmas attraction. The website said there would be snow, dancing toys, singing and all sorts of good stuff. WELL...let's just say that there's twenty bucks we won't be getting back! The "characters" were creepy, the displays were lame and the boys (and us adults) were scared! Its in a building where they usually have a Haunted House set up...and Yes, I felt as though at any second someone with a chainsaw would be around the corner. Not to mention that right outside where the lights were there was a "Slaughter House" sign that they didn't even bother to cover up! Ok, that's it! Oh...that's not it...the "snow" they advertised was actually a bubble machine! Needless to say, I don't recommend it! And a special thank you to Jaclyn who now owes us $20 and an hour of our lives back. :)

Through the "present doors" was Santa and thats when Ryan called it quits. He wanted nothing to do with the scrawny Santa around the corner!

Tree Lighting and the Choo Choo Park

Last night we went to Hiram for their tree lighting. First we saw Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive in a horse and carriage and then we saw Santa's reindeer and all was going well. But...then we waited in line for an hour to have a photo taken with Santa. Ryan absolutely freaked out when it finally came to be his turn. He screamed, he cried, he kicked and then finally ran away. So-sorry no Santa photo! I guess he really thought Santa was creepy because he continued to cry and cry until we finally agreed to leave and head home. So, we actually spent more time waiting in line for a photo than anything else.

This morning Gavin called and invited Ryan to check out his favorite park. We had never been before so Ryan was so excited when we got there and it was a "choo choo" park. The boys had lots of fun climbing, sliding and running around together. And daddy got in on the action too :)

Bee Movie

We took Ryan to his first official movie today. Every time he saw the commercial for the Bee Movie he got excited and kept saying "more bee". I thought it might be a disaster, but decided there was only one way to find out. Well, he showed me! He sat through the entire movie and loved it. He had a giant drink, candy and bees...what more could a kid ask for! Now we're excited to take him again!

Thanksgiving & Downtown

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year. Ryan was so happy to spend the holiday with his best buddy, Gavin! Auntie, Uncle Rick & Grammy were just a bonus! The boys gobbled up their dinners, played choo choos and did some wrestling. They were "thankful" to have each other :)

Tonight we headed into Atlanta to check out some lights. We started with some shopping, dinner & a choo choo ride at Atlantic Station. Of course, Ryan wanted nothing to do with the shopping...he just wanted to ride the train!

Then we headed over to Centennial Olympic Park. Ryan was SO excited to see all the lights and run around the park! It was cold so we started off with a little Starbucks-I know he's only 2, but he already loves white chocolate mochas as much as his mommy does! Then we visited the big tree, saw some reindeer & watched the ice skaters. Ryan didn't ever want to leave!
